Our Plasma Surgery System and Plasma Wand rely on the unique low temperature plasma-mediated ablation technology. With the Plasma Surgery system, this technology helps realize ideal soft tissue ablation in a defined area under low-temperature surgical environment. Through stimulating a plasma layer arround the active electrode(s) located on the plasma device, this technology helps generate desired surgical results, including effective tissue volume reduction, as well as cutting and coagulation. With such technical basis, our product portfolios offer treatment solutions that render relevant surgery readily performed and minimally invasive, thus providing clinicians easy-to-command surgical techniques.

The Plasma System is designed to perform tissue ablation (tissue removal), tissue coagulation (shrinkage), and hemostasis with the utilization of bipolar radiofrequency Plasma Wands working in a saline-type environment. The System works either at a low voltage, non-plasma-forming tissue-heating condition, causing tissue shrinkage, or at a higher voltage plasma-forming condition that can cut tissue rapidly with minimal collateral tissue damage. The System functons under a radiofrequency excitation frequency of about 100 kHz. Major surgical effects are as follws:

Tissue ablation: To remove a defined volume of soft tissue, without damaging the surrounding healthy tissues.

Coagulation: As high frequency current passes through the targeted tissues, regional heating is induced, leading to the denaturation and thermal changes of tissue proteins and collagens, which can ultimatel causes the shrinkage of the targeted tissues

Hemostasis: To coagulate the tissue with bipolar radiofrequency power

The ideal performance of our surgical devices is guaranteed by our unique technology fundation, which is safer and more efficient as compared with traditional RF-based technologies. Primary advantages of our technology are:

Temperature needed is far more lower: the technology functions at cooler temperatures than other RF-based technologies, heating up the tissue up to the temperatures of 40°C to 70°C. In contrast, traditional technologies such as electrocautery generally cause tissue heating up to 400-600°C.

Tissue ablation is more precise: Since the plasma layer is only 100-200μm thick around the active electrode, this technology allows to ablate the tissue in a defined area with minimal effect to the surrounding tissue.

Our technology advantages is the result of our sophistcated technical design, namely the Unique Waveform, and a comparatively lower frequency: Our Plasma Surgery System functions on basis of a unique waveform whereas other controllers use a higher frequency standard sine waveform. Compared to generators using higher frequency sine waveforms, our controllers are able to generate more efficient ablation. The unique waveform has a sharp leading edge that requires less time to generate a plasma discharge and therefore allows more time, per half cycle, for active ablation, which is the desired tissue effect. By contrast, a higher frequency sine waveform has a more gradual ramp that requires more time to reach the maximum voltage required to create a discharge for tissue ablation, allowing less time to effectively treat tissue undesired.

Another exquisite designing featuring our plasma ablation technology is the comparatively lower frequency of energy output. As frequency increases, tissue impedance decreases. Consequently, a larger amount of current will flow deeper through the tissue when a higher frequency is employed. This means that as the frequency increases, the risk of regional undesired thermal damage also increases.
